  1. At least you can guarantee that Graham will not be paying Brad a royalty for his new IOM design unlike most of the other designs, no , sorry , copies i have seen in the last 12 months.

  6. Hi Eugene,

a little lost in translation, sorry.
Graham will not be paying royalty as he is original in his designs.
Designs the whole IOM world look forward to as his designs always win something big.

  7. hi graham, you answered to kevin question...i would like to know what are the copies that you mean...i would like to know if carving-corsetto and duetto, for example, are considered for your opinion copies

  8. Hi Eugene,
i could not comment on these two designs as i have not seen them, could you point me to a picture of them please.
If the wording 'heavily influenced, and not 'copied' is more appropiate then i change my text as not to be so insultive regarding these recent heavily influenced designs.

  9. maybe "heavily influenced" is the correct wording...you can see corsetto, duetto and carving on http://iomitalia.forumitalian.com/f5-boats
i don't think these drawings are copies, surely they have been inspired to lintel or britpop, and in this case i don't see anything wrong...look at all iacc 2003-2007...could team new zeland ask a royalty for the shape of the bow? in that moment, that shape was succesful, than all the team designs boat with same shape
in britpop and other copies, what about center of buoyancy, floatation, effort, waterplane area, etc.etc.? i don't think are the same in all the copies...i think that mr.smith pay a royalty to gibson, because those parameters (very succesful)are the same of the britpop...sorry for the bad english and the lot of the words, but i like to talk abaout rc boats
